Kindergarten Preparation Program

La Costa Valley Preschool and Kindergarten offers  Pre-kindergarten and early entry kindergarten  programs for children not meeting the states age requirement for enrollment into kindergarten yet they demonstrate academic readiness.

The program is designed to give students a boost in their academic skills for successful entry into our State Department of Education approved kindergarten or other kindergarten programs.

About the Kindergarten Preparation Program

What Your child will be learning :

Early Entry Kindergarten Students:

  • Two year program for children that do not meet the age requirements fr kindergarten enrollment yet who demonstrate academic readiness and social skills necessary for success in kindergarten regardless of their age.
  • Basic skills in letters, phonics, math, art, science, music and more using fun and exciting activities that will prepare early entry-kindergarten students to seamlessly transition into our kindergarten program.

Pre-Kindergarten Students

  • Early literacy based, we will be working on reinforcing letters sounds, and continuing phonics and reading skills .
  • Children will also write, illustrate, produce and read their own book within this program.
  • Skills in math, science, technology will be developed through class room activities, lessons and hands on experiences.
  • Creativity skills in music, fitness and learning adventures, field trips to reinforce curriculum and more will be enjoyed.

Who will be teaching our Kindergarten Preparation Program

Ms. Joan is our staff kindergarten teacher and  is a credentialed teacher with more than 26 years successful experience teaching kindergarten and first grade students.

She is also is a published author and illustrator. Ms. Joan also instructs our “Reader’s Club” and “Art” Enrichment programs.

Enrichment programs  where your child can  study and learn Spanish, Art, Athletics, Funastics or our Readers Club is  open to students of La Costa Valley Preschool and Kindergarten and the community. Learn more about our Specialty Education Enrichment Programs
